Timorese Kids

We made a detour on the way home to stop in at a medical clinic run by an American. We passed a group of kids hanging around. A couple of them were eager to show off their skills at turning the crank of the machine that pulls the cherry off of the coffee bean.

They were even more eager to have their photos taken.

When we eventually made it to the clinic, the care package of some English newspapers and a case of beer was warmly received. Shelley’s shoe laces were equally well received.

John also learned about the necessity of having water in your radiator.
