Cao Dai Temple

Religion in general is strange. The Cao Dai religion is very strange, although it had a lot of familiar elements from other better known religions. Buddhism is well represented as is the monotheistic tradition of Christianity.

God is represented by the Divine Eye of Providence.

It is by far the most colourful place of worship I’ve ever seen.

The three patron saints who signed the covenant between God and humanity are Chinese poet Sun Yat-sen, Vietnamese Poet Nguyễn Bỉnh Khiêm, and French poet and author Victor Hugo.

We returned for the temple for the 6:00 prayers which were a sea of white and bright coloured robes.
